FOOLS Inc. (the “Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) recognizes the importance of protecting personal information and complies with the Act on the Protection of Personal Information of Japan (“APPI”), as well as other applicable laws and regulations.
This Privacy Policy (the “Policy”) explains how we properly handle and protect personal information.
- 1. Definition of Personal Information
In this Policy, “Personal Information” means personal information as defined in Article 2, Paragraph 1 of the APPI—namely, information relating to a living individual that can identify a specific individual by name, date of birth, or other descriptions (including information that can be easily matched with other information to identify an individual), or information that contains a personal identification code.

We collect customer information, including personal information (“Customer Information”), through lawful and fair means and do not obtain it through false or improper methods.

Access logs and usage data related to the Online Shop and our websites, including referrers, IP addresses, device information, server access logs, tags, cookies, ADID, IDFA, and other identifiers
- 3. Purposes of Use
We use Customer Information for the following purposes. We may change the purposes within a scope reasonably related to the original purposes, provided that such changes do not unjustly harm customers’ rights or interests.

Except as permitted by the APPI or other applicable laws, we do not use personal information beyond the scope necessary to achieve the stated purposes without the customer’s consent. This does not apply when:
Required by law
Necessary to protect life, body, or property and obtaining consent is difficult
Particularly necessary for improving public health or promoting the sound development of children and obtaining consent is difficult
Necessary to cooperate with national or local government bodies in performing legally prescribed duties, where obtaining consent may hinder such performance
- 5. Provision to Third Parties
We do not provide personal information to third parties (including parties located outside Japan) without prior customer consent, except as permitted by applicable laws. The following cases are not considered third-party provision:
Disclosure to contractors as necessary for operating the Online Shop, payment processing, product delivery, customer support, or other services
Disclosure due to business succession such as mergers
Joint use permitted under the APPI

Upon request from the customer and after confirming the requester’s identity, we will disclose personal information (including records of third-party provision) without delay, unless disclosure is not required under applicable laws.

If a customer requests correction, addition, or deletion of personal information on the grounds that it is inaccurate, we will conduct necessary investigations and take appropriate action within a reasonable scope, unless otherwise required by law.

If a customer requests suspension of use or deletion of personal information due to misuse or unlawful acquisition, and the request is justified, we will take appropriate action without delay, unless otherwise required by law.
